Vertical case - car docking issue

I am not interested in ever using the car docking function. is there an easy fix to allowing the droid to sit in a vertical case that has a magnetic cover.

That's similar to the one I first used. I took mine apart and put the magnet inside though.

I also have a magnetic case and the only solution I found was buy a new velcro case.
