Help Very bad/no reception after replacing USB/charging port

I recently replaced the USB/charging port on my ATT (i717) Galaxy Note (the port still has the charging issue - I believe caused by it not making correct contact with the ringer/antenna above it). Ever since then, I get really bad/no reception, even in areas where before I had no problems (was in the San Francisco Bay Area, but just moved to Albuquerque). Perhaps since I got the USB/charging port off of ebay, I didn't get a Samsung brand part, and now I have this issue?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

List of things I have tried:

Factory reset
Replaced SIM card
Replaced SIM/MicroSD slot
Reflash to stock ATT ROM/modem
Reseat ringer/antenna above charging port.

I bought this used, so ATT won't accept it. I want to have my wife use it, but not like this. I have searched through many forums on this issue, but no luck.

I actually thought about getting this:

Any help is greatly appreciated.
