Very frustrated!

This will be my 4th Vibrant in two weeks.... first one turned off and never turned back on... second wouldn't charge at all... and third when trying to upgrade to Froyo bricked or something... im very upset and just plain frustrated... my sister had her Vibrant since the beginning and not one problem... i will not be updating the new one... not worth having to get another one...

just needed to vent...

besides the problems I really love the phone and that's what makes it even more frustrating...

You will be able to celebrate all the more when your problems are over which I'm betting will be soon.
 
Sounds like you need to join the rest of us happy vibrant owners and get with a custom Froyo ROM! Axura and Nero are the most popular, I myself use Axura. They've got themes too, and it's incredibly stable.

Would you consider Axura as stable/fast as Bionix V? I'm really loving Bionix, though for whatever reason my GPS doesn't work at all with it. I might try Axura just for the fun of it.:D
 
Do u know if they will do the update for u in any of the stores?? lol I get my new one today and I am afraid to touch it... I don't want to have to have a 5th sent!
 
Mine bricked after the update last week too, Got up to the logo, then black screen with the pattern of vibrates afterwards. Three quick vibes, then one long.. minute later, same thing. Had to do a boot menu erase all, then it booted into 2.2 just fine, but of course lost everything. I was rooted and LagFixed, but undid all of that before the upgrade. Still toast. Working ok now for the most part.

I hope youre next phone works properly. when you do update make sure its fully charged and to 1up that, make sure its plugged in too. to be even more careful, factory reset before you do.
 
No, T-mo won't do the update, because, as the T-mo rep explained, 1) "security reasons" and 2) "their computers are not able to access the kies update because they are locked into the t-mobile website", and 3) "wah wahwah wah wah" (my spelling may be wrong but the meaning was clear):rolleyes: .
I did speak to a very willing T-mobile technician who tried to access the kies site and confirmed that his computer would not download the update. He even called all around Tucson to see if he could get a radio shack or another T-mo to help me, but no one would agree to help me.
Thank goodness my computer finally decided to download and install it to my phone.

Your phone clearly didn't brick since it maintained power throughout.
A bricked phone loses all power, and can not be rebooted or fixed.
I am sorry that you lost everything, but at least you still have a working Vibrant on 2.2.
 
Ah so.. thank you for the correction. I guess I temporarily Tanked my phone then :) Yes I'm happy it's working, but lost a bunch of notepads and phone numbers. Oh well.
