Help Very Loose/Sensitive USB Connection

Barats

Android Enthusiast
Is anyone else's connection via the USB very loose when connecting to a PC of some kind? Mine has a tendency to connect and disconnect over and over because it seems the connection is very sensitive. Not a fan of that at all. I remember transferring some files and accidentally nudged the Note 2 and it disconnected, therefore cancelling the transfer. This is my 2nd Note 2 with a different USB connector and it still does the same as my first one.

No problem for mine, I did buy a cheap lead from amazon for charging in the car that is a really tight fit, think it cost 50p, may be worth ordering a few cheap ones.

As for connecting to transfer files, I use filezilla as an FTP client and solid explorer, much quicker and easier than looking for a lead/unplugging my charging lead in the other room.

I'm sure you've tried other usb cables but you might try Motorola ones (I had this problem with another Samsung phone and the Motorola cables fit more securely). Also in another post on this topic it was suggested that you can spread the connector a little.

Loose USB port is the reason I had to get my N2 exchanged through ATT. It would not charge most of the time and wiggled when the cable was all the way in.

Sounds like your USB port is breaking from the main board--if you've tried different cables and they all have the same feel, get yourself into your carrier for a replacement before it completely breaks.

If you are saying that you USB cable is becoming disconnected from the USB port on your computer then it could be that you need to use a pointed object like a straight pin and lift the small tabs on the male USB jack so they will hold the jack into the port on your computer better.
