Help VERY poor quality sound from headphones

Hi guys,
Only stock earphone that comes originally with you devices works well & loud. Any other third parties ear phones you'll try to buy will disappoint. Whn it comes to headphones, Beats by Dr. Dre works fine but the others (Sennheiser) will disappoint. I tired them all but I guess it's a restriction imposed. But why the original earphones works as loud an an Iphone earphone? But different brands fail. Why?

All the earphones and headphones I have used (which do include Sennheiser earphones and headphones but not Beats) in my S4 have worked well.
