Veterans Speak Up

I was thinking nukes :D
We had four birds that had em 24/7/365.

Those guys loved their work.

:D

I did it to blow shat up lol.

Another great reason! When I joined I was the biggest patriot in the US!

Now I just don't know. We have the most anti American president in history and for a while this country has gone down hill caring more about other countries than helping itself... OK rant over.

Looks like I missed the date, but better late right.?
Not a veteran, but I have a couple of friends in the service. Just thought this was a good time for a 'thank you'. So thanks! Even though it isn't always shown, we do appreciate your services for our country.

Nothing like an eight engine cart start early in the morning to clear the sinuses :D. Or roasting a hotdog because your bomber engine thinks its has afterburners so it shoots a 40 ft torch out the back. Yeah I loved it ;)

Well this country has always worried about other countries thin our own. Obama is just a puppet president with the democratic partys hand up his arse moving the mouth.

Or how bout during engine runs when all eight of those puppies where running at 100% and the wheels chalked, if a fella had those creepy crawlers down below, he sure found out then.:D

Oh yeah nothing like watching the tires creap up on the chalks and your thinking is she going to jump them this time. Our H models had a bit more thrust than the D's so we had to watch our step lol.
Yeah i never sat in front the nose of the plane.
I loved launching from the hammer head and the pilot would run up the inboards and then outboards. Watching all the chalks that was in the grass behind fly up in the air and tossed around like toothpicks. To think these people are thanking us for our service and if they only knew what we did it would be like WTF? lol

Nothing like being in SAC doing ORI's and all the other stuff that would drive a normal man insane. I just wish I was in duing the alert days. I pulled alert generations but just not the same responding to a klaxon.

Yeah the alert day's were a trip. Have you ever seen them start with canisters or did your birds start with the cpu only.

Oh yeah I have done the eight engine cart start. White smoke so thick you cant even see the bomber. We mostly just loaded them in engines 4 and 5. Fun to start them that way but cleaning the bell housings was a PITA when you had to recover the plane. We normally started the engines with a -95 external air source cart.

Aaahhhh those were the day's. As a young fella I don't remember a lot cause I drank my way through most of it. There's nothing like being in a expedite truck in between runway's waiting to cross and a watch a C-5 land right in front of you.

Or when you have a new guy and the bomber comes in for a landing with full cross wind crab on and the poor nub screaming its going to miss the runway. lol.

I wasnt much of a drinker but I did learn 100% oxygen cures a serious hangover.

More Sailors!

When I was in A School I called home and my brother picked up, and I ask if I could talk to my dad. My brother calls to my dad and says there's some seaman on the phone...I hear my dad say well wipe it off. :D

My dad is retired Navy and my older brother is getting close to 20 years. Sometimes I wish I stayed in; I even talked to a recruiter about it back in September. He said they were not taking prior service at the time, but to check back at the start of the fiscal year...I am currently back on the fence about it.
