It sounds like T-Mobile is restricting your internet access. I know T-Mobile says "unlimited data", but if you read their fine prints, it says they reserve the rights to slow or restrict your internet if you use data excessively or way above average. My guess is you've used more than 5GB over the past month by tethering it to your computer.
