Help Vibrate Feedback Question`

This should be a simple question to ANY TB owner.
I need to know if when you push anything on your touch screen it vibrates...

I thought I remembered it vibrating whenever I hit any button.
home search menu and back all vibrate fine when pressed and keyboard vibrates when text is entered.

What I am curious about is say on the home screen
I touch messages or mail or market, anything that's in the actual screen, it does not vibrate.
If I go into settings or any other sub menu from the home screens it does not vibrate.

Shouldn't it vibrate? I thought it used to but now I am unsure!

When I touch buttons on the screen such as messages or mail it does not vibrate. The buttons all the way on the bottom of the phone vibrate as well as my keyboard but that can be adjusted in the settings.
