Help VIbrate on call connection?

OK, since 2.1 update, the phone is making a short vibrate when it dials and connects a call. can someone tell me where I can turn this off?! I've looked thru the menus but it's escaping me...
 
doesnt look like this can be turned off. theres been other people complaining about this. Seems to be a HTC thing...my snap (windows 6.1) also did the short vibrate on connect. Funny thing is is that im pretty sure there was an option to turn it off on that phone
 
I actually like it. It reminds me that I don't have the connection lag anymore. Now I have to be ready to speak when I dial. lol
 
I really like it, but agree that it sucks that there is not an option to turn it off for non rooted folk
 
at least my phone seems more reliable, I'll take the little non-obtrusive vibrate for that
 
Vibrate is broken on my phone, so I can't test this until I get it replaced, but I did notice this setting the other day:

Home>>Menu>>Settings>>Sound & display>>Phone Vibrate

does it turn off the vibrate or outgoing as well as incoming calls? (probably not, but I thought I'd mention it)

I love this feature. With how much lag there is when answering or making calls, it wakes me up to remind me to wake me up from my nap.
 
You guys realize this was implemented in the 1.5 MR? Most of you must have never installed the update after the launch.

That's funny, because I certainly installed the MR, but don't recall this vibrate on connection...maybe it's just me...i dunno. :confused: Doesn't bother me one way or the other.

I'm with you JB. I most definitely did the MR, and did not have this vibration upon call connection. Nor do I recall reading about anyone else who had this "feature" until this 2.1 update.

I guess maybe i've been running 2.x roms too long. I swear it was in there.

this. I love it. At least now I know when to put the phone up to my face which, in light of the call lag, is actually a nice feature to have.
 
Yes would also be nice to be able to turn it off!!!

Acually I am sure about this .... when I got my phone it DID vibrate on connection to a call.... I was able to turn this feature off.

However.... since then and the OTA updates I do not know where, when, why.. but...

FOUR days ago after upgrading to the 2.1 it was back and now I am finding I can not turn it off.

This is a function of the 2.1 update. To my knowledge, it is not able to be turned off without rooting.
