vibrate whilst texting?

How can I stop my desire vibrating whilst I am inserting text, its getting very annoying now.
I want it to vibrate when I recieve calls/texts etc but not every time I touch the screen?

Any pointers would be most appreciated.

You want to go to settings, language and keyboard, touch input, text input, and switch off vibrate when typing

Just go into Settings-Sound & Display-Then uncheck Haptic Feedback.

If you don't want that vibrating while using the keyboard just go to settings -> Touch Input -> Text input -> untick Vibrate when typing.

When you want it to vibrate when you receive/send a text go to your message app -> press menu -> under Received/Sent message you can tick/untick Vibrate according what you want

Haptic Feedback is more for the lock screen if i'm right though I'm not sure if that will solve his problem

It's under settings. Language and keyboard. It's under the touch input option. You can turn it off there.
