Help vibration alert for text message not working

I just bought a ZTE Warp yesterday and I love the phone, but the only problem I"m having is that the vibration alert for text messaging does not work. I tried calling myself with the phone on vibrate and it vibrated so I know the vibration feature is working but just not for texts. Is there an easy fix to this or would I have to get a new phone?
 
I have never used the default messenger on the warp,i use gosms and with that you can customize your notifications im many ways .
