Vibration strength and Exchange mail

The biggest thing I hate about my Moto Droid is the weak vibrator. I miss calls and messages pretty regularly even with it in a hard plastic belt clip on my belt. Also, it's hard to manage my ring profiles. For example if I want to take a nap and only want to be alerted for phone calls I have to go into Exchange mail, Gmail, and the messaging app to tell them all not to vibrate, then set the phone to vibrate. Can any Incredible owners comment on the vibration strength?

Also, I can't search my Exchange mail. I hear the Incredible has enhanced Exchange support. Does that include the ability to search?

I'm coming from using the XV6800 (HTC Titan) to the DI. The vibration on the DI is weaker than the Titan. I'm using the Verizon shell/holster so I do feel it enough that I haven't missed anything. YMMV when using a softer case.

I don't see any options for searching in exchange mail. There are a bunch of sorting options though.

You should be able to just click the Magnifying glass button, that will bring up a search box and you can search your mail.

I know that this is not the case on the Moto Droid, it just initiates a google web search. Can anyone confirm that this works on the Incredible?

I'm coming from a 6800 and the vibration strength on the Incredible is about a quarter of what it is on the 6800. I'm learning to deal with it but so far I've missed many txt msgs from not feeling/hearing the vibration. I can feel the calls however.

Change the way if vibrates for your notifications. I have my txts set for multiple short vibrates. It goes 4 quick times then plays the sound.

Can the vibration strength be adjusted?

I was going to make a new thread, but I found this searching and it seems relevant here.

I also agree. The incredible has a week vibrator. I miss tons of texts if it’s in my pocket. If you think the moto droid has a week vibrato you will be really upset with the inc

I'm assuming the strength can't be adjusted then, or this wouldn't be such a big complaint?

If this is the case and it can't be strengthened even with an app download, then I'll do what the guy above said and see if it helps with multiple vibrates.

I tried to find a setting that lets you change how much or the way it vibrates and I couldn't find anything.

Also, I was trying to find a feature where it gives you reminder vibrations (or beeps if in sound mode) if you missed a call or text but I can't find that either. If someone finds how, let us know

Yeah, I haven't found any standard options to adjust the amount or length of vibration. : (
This is one disappointment I have coming from a BlackBerry.

Mine doesn't vibrate when I get a text or email.. :( I set it up to do that too.. Nothing. The only time it VIBRATES (not hapatic) is when I get a call. Sigh.
My phone overheats, the battery only lasts a few hrs, the vibration doesn't seem to work, people think I sound really static-y, and I think they sound like they come in and out. While this is the BEST phone I've had, it is also the WORST when it comes to problems... :(

I'm wondering if anyone is coming from a Droid Eris to this? One of the biggest problems with the Eris that I knew couldn't be fixed with software update was the vibration strength. I never feel it vibrate when on my belt clip unless I consciously rest my hand on it or something. So I never get any calls or texts initially when I need the phone to be 'quiet' unless I'm holding it or something.

Is the Incredible really no better than this??? What a huge disappointment if so, as the other major non-software issue appears to have been taken care of - the camera.
