Help Vibration Symbol

Hey,
Ive got my phone set to always vibrate, and it never had the vibrate symbol in the notification bar, but ive updated to 2.3.5 and now it shows there all the time, is there a way to hide it?

its a feature of the upgrade.
custom roms/themes will probably be out soon that suppress it.

well, my phone is rooted, but a theme sounds like a big thing to do just to get rid of a symbol..

You will probably find mods for custom roms will come out to do it. It has been mentioned many times on xda. I've not actually seen the solution yet, but i suspect it wont be long.

yeah its really kinda stupid.. when u turn on silent mode, u get two icons.. wat on earth were they thinking? i hope they remove this 'feature' in the next update

I have just updated my phone with 2.3.6, Still its always vibration symbol
showing .... Dont know how to remove it...

As long as you have vibration set (for example vibration set to always), the icon would be there. The only way to remove is not to have vibration set, or possibly root and do something to it.

You need to be rooted but jkay delux settings will get rid
