Vibration when dialing

When I am dialing a phone number (typing the digits one at a time, not going through my address book), the phone will beep and vibrate when I press a number. Any way to turn off the vibration?

Thanks.

Not the virbration. You can turn off the key pad tone. Go to settings, dialer key keypad tone, open it and select long-short-or off. TC

Thanks. I find the vibration so annoying. Too bad you can't turn that off.

But you can.....settings>locale &text>touch input>text input>vibrate when typing uncheck

"Vibrate when typing" is unchecked on mine and I still get vibration when dialing numbers. I don't get vibration when typing anywhere else.

it's a permanent(for now until dev figures out the code to disable it)feature that was part of the MR back several months ago. Before the update u could turn off haptic feedback(in spare parts) or vibrate when typing(in locale) but now it permanently vibrates. I've gotten used to it but would love it someone wrote a code to disable it.

It is unchangeable. Bad decision in HTC's case. I hope some type of future update changes this, because I get dialing lag in the phone dialer all because of the stupid ass vibration. Not to mention the battery it drains just to make that one stupid vibration per dial.
