Hello All,
I have had my Razr Maxx for about a month now, and so far am loving it. Coming from a rooted Droid 2, this thing is amazing. I miss the physical keyboard, and would have got the Droid 4 if not for the atrocious screen. This phone is so fast I am reluctant to root and overclock it for now.
My question is can someone please provide a step by step method for putting DVD quality media on my Razr? I have TV collections saved to my computer, like Eastbound, Deadwood, and Sunny in Philly. I would like to convert these files and put them on my phone to watch when I am away from the computer, but so far it has been a pain in the ass!
I think the files are in .avi format, or maybe another type.
If I connect the Droid in PC Mode, my computer allows me to drag and drop files onto the phone, offering to convert them into a watchable form. This takes about an hour per episode, and fails to complete when I try (usually about halfway through). This never used to happen with the Droid 2.
My other choice is to convert the files manually, and put them on the phone in mass storage mode. Please tell me a program, and steps to do this. I tried Quick Media converter but it took 12 hours to convert a 2 hour film. And when I tried to convert a 1 gb DVD into Mp4 (x264) in 1080p, it was almost 10 gb when completed!
And my phone wouldn't accept that large of a file, even in USB mass storage mode.
Please, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
