Video calls with Motorola Tablet

I was wondering how they will do video calling. Since it is VOIP, is there an Android specific app? I wonder how the quality will be. Can Skype mobil be used? I think the Ipad is restricted to other Ipad users or macs and you have to use wireless.( probably for bandwidth). This is going to be the future and I wonder if anyone knows how they are going to implement it.

Just saw where Skype will be introducing video calling to compete with Apple facetime. It will be available on Ipad also. No word on details or if they are getting an Android app ready.

Skype mobil video for the iphone, etc( non android) is now official and active. See Engadget. No word on Android apps yet, but let's see what CES brings. Works well on wifi and internet connection, but fizzled on a AT&T 3G connection. Looks like you have to have a pretty strong signal.

The promo videos they showed at CES said Video chat with Google Talk. It would seem to me that they're going to use Google Talk as the backbone of the "seamless" video calling a la facetime. If you're on an android device calling another android device, you'll be able to seamlessly initiate a video chat because anyone using an android device has an associated google account. Apps like skype will still be available to use and make video calls, but it would likely be from within the app, not simply hitting a "video" button while in the midst of a phone call.
Anyway, the videos from CES led me to this conclusion. Anyone agree? disagree?

Well we'll know soon enough, but assuming you can skype video chat on Android soon, I don't see any functional difference as a Android user between using that and Google Talk. SKype is probably going to be more broadly used I would suspect as it is cross platform (Android to iOS, etc). Both are video chats. Both should work just fine I would think. Again, I am sure we will know pretty soon. It is pretty exciting that this is going to be widely available soon ...
