Help video calls/yahoo messenger

hi,im trying to set up yahoo messanger but i cannot get the camera to change from rear view to to the front facing one on my sg2.
maybe its not possible with ym.
im not fussy,if theres another way/app to use my phone to talk and see my kids and wife at the same time ill be happy.
suggestions please.

All video chat apps suck right now. Had the same problem with yahoo. Tango was good for 30 seconds and then the picture would freeze up. Using fring now. Still not great. We need Skype.

I am having the same problem on my SG2..can't change from rear to front camera..what a pain.
I gather from all I have read (wish I had read up on this before)...yahoo messenger supports a front facing camera on froyo but not yet on gingerbread..
I don't want to use fring or tango firstly because the other party needs these applications installed too, whereas everyone I know uses yahoo messenger from their PC
So, any news on when yahoo messenger will update to support a front facing camera on gingerbread?
