Help Video camera freezes when zoomed in

Whenever I use the video recorder and zoom in the camera freezes at about the 29 second mark for a few seconds, starts again and then freezes again and stops working. Anyone else experience this? I guess i just need to stay zoomed out. The microphone also picks up the sound when pressing the zoom button

I just tested it out and I did not get this problem at all. I zoomed in and out and left it and no matter what it just kept recording. I must say you can hear the click of the buttons but i am using it through an otterbox no idea if its any different.
