If there was a away, you'd need another video recording app. I have no idea if the zoom is not possible due to software or hardware limitations though.
it has to be software related since you can zoom in camera mode but not video camera mode, just bumping this up if anyone found a way or app that can do it, will probably report it to Motorola as well
