Video card decision help

Ok, so I am about to build a really nice gameing rig here soon and I need some help deciding on a video card setup.
The mobo I will be using supports CrossfireX and I was wondering, should I go with a single nVidia card or make use of the CrossfireX and go with two ATI cards?

nVida cards are much more expensive, but their driver quality is MUCH better than ATI's. ATI on the other hand offer higher quality cards for a lower price (In other words, you pay less for and ATI with the same specs as a more expensive nVidia). What do you all recommend? Also, which particular card(s) would you recommend?

I'm a little biased b/c I'm a Nvidia fanboy but I have seen some ATI cards that recently have caught my eye.

Thanks, Just realized my board does, indeed support SLI, so I will probably be going with dual nVidia cards...
 
Nvidia stuff will be better with sli it's light years ahead driver wise than crossfire. I hate there hardware so take the good and bad.
 
Both have had issues with drivers, and so far on either side I haven't had any real issue. I've had Crossfire before, and I have SLI now. I personally like Crossfire better just for the simple fact that with my SLI setup now, I've seen a lot more microstuddering to the point where some games I have to disable SLI. The 2 260's will definitely have the edge in power, but lack of dx11 and tessellation will kill it. Battlefield 3 is going to require dx11 hardware. Which means any DX10 card will work, but no tessellation.
 
Head over to Tomshardware.com/us and I apologize for the flood of ads (use Opera or a similar browser with ad block) and take a look at some of the video card guides. They test cards with current games and explain how the games are dependant on CPU or GPU power.
 
I would go with nVIDIA SLI I have always been a fan of nVIDIA and never had a problem
TigerDirect, TomsHardware, and Newegg are some great sites to look at
