Video conversion software for Note/Note 2

Can anyone recommend any PC software that's suitable for converting DVD rips etc into a format and resolution suitable for both the Note and Note 2?

Handbrake is great. Been using it for years now. HandBrake

What are you wanting to convert? Between MX and Dice Player I never convert anything.

Ah, I see. Sorry, complete Android newbie here, I only just got my N7105 yesterday. I tried to play a downloaded film but it wouldn't play on the stock player. I'll download MX and Dice Player and see how I get on with those.

I just use the iPad preset. Seems to work fine. I found that you have to get rid of be chapter titles (if you have them like from metax) or else you will see them as the movie plays.
