Video Conversion to maintain 720p

I currently use nero recode to convert dvd's that I have downloaded into .mp4 files. I normally download the dvd in blue ray 720p quality. However, when I convert the file to .mp4 it seems to lose the quality. I am trying to get the most out of my captivates screen quality. Any suggestions?

More likely your issue is with bitrate or something. The Captivates screen resolution is much less than 720p, it's 480 so there is no point in trying to play a 720 video. Try using Handbrake to convert the video. Higher than 480 will just waste space since the screen is not HD.
