Great post and thanks. Will try this out later this week. Rooted my Nook Color awhile back to Honeycomb and ended up going back to stock ! Don't believe xda devs had all the kinks worked out, at the time!

The XDA forums, while useful, can be confusing, seems to be a little un-organized. Would it be a big deal telling or showing us how to save current info, pics, etc. and how and what we need to revert back to stock?
