I have some videos that Id like to put on my Phone (VM Venture) & I was wondering what is the format used by this phone? Help?

i dont believe there is a "default" vid format for android. u should b able to play any vid, as long as u have the correct player to support it. if your current player wont play it, search play store for the video's extention, and find an app that supports that format.

the only vid i havent been able to play without downloading a new app was an mpeg. besides that, most vids will play. mp4 i believe can b played thru the stock movies app. i know avi can too.

dont kno, did u try searching play store for the extention? a quick search of "wmv" in play store gave a bunch of hits on players for wmv.

I use MoboPlayer and it plays just about every video format even those not supported by native Android OS. You might give it a try.

Most Android phones record videos in mp4 format. If you wanted to save a video to a format that is sure to be played by Android it would be mp4. But a third party player from the Play Store such as MoboPlayer will play any format you want.

Sorry to revive a dead topic but I am having issues with MXplayer. When a movie is playing the audio cuts out but only returns when I pause & unpause the video... Any ideas as to why that is?

OK, same issue with moboplayer. Im trying to watch any of the Saw movies & the audio cuts out but when I watch said movies on my pc/xbox they play with NO issues
