What video formats and resolutions can the desire HD use? i've put a few videos on but they dont seem to work.

Stock android is notorious for not playing many video formats, particularly divx/xvid. One of the few decent things Samsung ever did was to add support for these, HTC haven't caught onto that yet.

Rock player is pretty good at filling this gap. Should be in the market as well.

Yeah, I was expecting better video playback on such a powerfull phone, just seems strange not to have it.

Would it be better to get the ARM7 version or will the universal work just as good?

I just had a quick look at Rock Player and it seems as if its only for playing videos stored on the device. Is there anything that will allow me to play these formats whilst streaming from WIFI?
