My Handbrake settings for Optimus V - Widescreen video (16:9 or wider):

Additional note about width/height/aspect ratio ...
- Any time you drop a video into handbrake for encoding, if the aspect ratio is maintained, I usually set the width and then the height will auto-adjust as you dial in other settings.
- If I'm encoding 4:3 ratio video, I alter the "width" to 600, to make sure that the resulting height of the video does not exceed the phones hardware acceleration limits.
- If you're using my settings from the post above, for say a standard DVD, then your max horizontal resolution will likely be limited to the max rez of the source DVD video, usually 720.

FYI, in the settings that I posted "resolution" has absolutely nothing to do with filesize.
Well, then, just out of curiousity, what do you suppose the "bitrate" setting does?
