Help Video keeps stopping during playback

Hi
When I'm playing MP4 files on my phone the video keeps stopping, the screen goes black.
I have to tap the screen to get the controls up and then push play.
It lasts 2-3 minutes then does it again constantly.

Any ideas as to why and how I can fix it please?

Hi fellow Essex-er and Desire HD owner Welcome to Android Forums!

What video player are you using? I'm wondering if there is anything in the settings that turns the screen off after a set time (seems doubtful though as that defeats the purpose of a video player! )

Also are you using the stock firmware that came with the phone? If the issue could be device specific then you could try posting in the Desire HD Support forum and someone should be able to give you the right answer
