Got tired of the stock AT&T boot animation so decided I needed to do something about it. Everyone is hot for the Galaxy Nexus animation so I decided to go another route.

It's very easy

1. Root your phone
2. Download and install Rom Toolbox Pro (available on the Market, and other places )
3. Open RTP and simply select the boot animation of your choice, install it and enjoy!

Why is that? They won't know if you're rooted even if you have to return it.

It's very easy
