Root Video of CM7 on BIONIC

Lol @ DSP manager FCing - that was hilarious - I remember when it FCd constantly on my DROID before they finally got it working correctly with GB....

Nice to see CM7 running on a BIONIC though - that means:

  1. we have recovery
  2. we have a bootloader bypass
  3. Here come the ROMs!
 
The developers are amazing! I am so excited to be getting some CM loveliness on my new toy! You guys are awesome.
 
He'll release the bootstrap once a working ROM is in place. For now, all I want is custom Recovery and the ability to make a Nandroid backup so I can really start playing on removing some of the bloat.
 
Quick n00b question. If I ever mess with Custom Roms, but at a later date decide I want it stock again, will there be a flash for that? Im pretty sure, just wanna re-confirm.

I don't know jack yet about Android phones and customizing, however, I've always been one to do that with my old Blackberry :P
 
It's exciting to see a 2init ROM in action, but if some of the battery life woes of 2init carry over to the Bionic I would rather see some Blur-Based Bionic roms. Not to mention I really like alot of the blur apps. Especially the dialer.

Ripping the blur apps out of the stock rom will be simple.
 
Hell, I know that folks at XDA are already working on deodexing the stock files as it is. Since bootstrapped CWM Recovery is now a go, and since I, thanks to Joe and others, have a nice long list of what can and cannot be removed, I'm betting that a 'stock' Deodexed decrapified ROM should be right around the corner....

Even if I have to spend all weekend making the damned thing myself

I stopped using DSP a long time ago anyway. DSP blows, IMO. (That is, unless it's entirely sorted out by now.) I use "Equalizer" from the Market, and just LOVE it!

OK, I'll go look.

Loving the market on the web look and feel - being able to remotely install apps to my phone just friggin rocks.
