Help Video Playback Faster Than Sound

Hey, I was just wondering if any of you guys noticed this.

For the videos (.mp4) files that I move onto my Infuse, I notice that the video is constantly slightly faster than the sound. I also notice this when I watch YouTube videos through the YouTube app (I didn't confirm if it also happens when I use the mobile browser YouTube method).

It is by very little, so I think most people who don't pay attention (or don't watch the same video multiple times on other devices) won't notice, but for me, I'm a dancer and I constantly am watching choreography and music videos as much as I can.

Even though it's very slight, this is really starting to bother my OCD, especially since for dancing, there are many steps or movements that are supposed to match perfectly with percussion sounds in the music (i.e. clapping, snapping, etc.) and when the video is slightly faster than the sound, it really drives my brain crazy.

I know the video file itself isn't corrupt, because on my computer, the videos play back perfectly (I've tested with multiple players, GOM, VLC, Windows Media Player). It's only when I move it to the Infuse and play it back (or like I said, play a YouTube video on it) that the video is slightly faster than the sound.

Wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing this or if this is an isolated case.

Thanks as always!

Is it with the stock video player? Have you tried a 3rd party one like rockplayer to see if it still happens?

Yep, it's with the stock player. Do you have any recommendations for 3rd party apps for video playback? (Also while I'm at that, do you know if there are ways to play .avi/.wmv/.ts/etc. files on the phone too?)

Thanks!

I use rockplayer lite. Also nice cause i can pause a video and go back to it later where I left off. I think the other one i use is called mobo. I would say try those out.

Both of these play multiple video formats.

I downloaded and tried MoboPlayer and MXPlayer, and it turns out, now that I can play .avi files, the same effect happens but interestingly not to all of the videos but only to some of them, and the effect is worse than the stock player. On one of the MV's, the sound was so behind the motion it almost looked like it was exactly a beat late.

I'm beginning to wonder if maybe it's because the videos I have are HD and it's too much work for the phone to process it correctly or something. Again, I re-watched these videos on my laptop just now with GOM Player and they played perfectly.

:/ This is most definitely strange... I wonder what's the reason for it.
