Video playback questions.

[jericko]

I am on CM9 Alpha .06 and have read Video playback does not work. Is this correct? I am getting ready to travel for work and wanted to rip some DVDs to AVI format to play, but do not want to waste the time if they wont play.

Also, if Video does work, what is the best video player app to use?

Thanks
Jason

According to Dalingrin, there are issues with video codecs on CM9 alpha 6. I don't know what that means tho, if it's certain codecs or all. I don't watch movies on mine.

I just installed MoboPlayer from the Google Market and rip a DVD to WMV format and copied it to my TP and it plays perfect.

I suspect it works if you don't enable hardware acceleration. Probably the same as CM7 then.
