Hmm, what else have you noticed isnt workinig or isnt there?
The camera has always been HD, they just added a shortcut to take you directly to the video recording portion of the camera software. Just go into the settings and make sure it is set to record at 720p

Not to mention there is no separate apk lol. Just a shortcut added through the Camera.apk, if you are running a froyo custom rom it wouldnt load anyways
