Video Recorder Performance

I'm having some issues with my video recorder...

When I replay the videos they seem to be choppy and slow, it's like the frame rate momentarily slows to a very low figure. The sound does not appear to be affected, only the video...

Anyone else having this issue?

I have enabled debugging and most of the other fixes listed I can find on the web but nothing appears to fix the video camera from lagging..

Could it be my memory card?
I'm using a SanDisk 16GB Class 2..

I have a Kingston 16GB Class 10 and there is no different in the recording so its not the card.

Hi,

Same issue here that the video is very choppy and has a low framerate.
Used at first Samsung's Class 2 8GB SD and now Kingston's Class 4 8GB SD and also no difference.

Currently there is an update available (1.72.405.3_R2) that deals with camera and system performance issues. Let's see what happens...

yeah but apparently that update breaks root. So if you're rooted you might want to hold off this update for now...

A class 2 card is no good for HD video. Some class 4s struggle. I allways use an app killer before shooting video on a class6 card. No problems.
