Help Video Recording in Background

Hello,

Does anyone know if there is a way to record video whilst doing other things on the phone.

Basically I have my phone mounted on my bike handlebars, i want to be able to record my ride whilst having the maps app open as well. So video recording in the background whilst looking at maps.

Anyone know if this is possible?

If you want to record your cycling, then you will need an app with in-built ability to do more than tracking, you will need an app that monitors your cycling and records what it monitors, I am not sure whether there is one. You could also get a screen recorder, the only problem is; it records the screed, so when you switch to another app, it will record what is on the screen, not the background; that's why you need an app with an in-built recording ability.
If you are talking about a streaming video from the internet, then you will need a streaming video recorder.

I think you have got the wrong end of the stick with this one...

I am not wanting to record what is happening on screen, I want to be able to turn on the camera and record what is happening in front of my bike, but then exit the camera, with it still recording video, and turn on an exercise app so I know where I am going and at what speed.
