Help video recording problem

I've noticed lag when recording video. It occurs about 9 sec after recording, video freezes for second...the same is seen when playing that recorded video. Every app I've tried uses stock video recording. Is it time to try newer rom (now have 2.0.1.A.0.47)? Didn't have this problem with stock rom.

Same problem in my xperia x8....not in every 9 sec...but 7 out of 10 recordings freezes for a sec every few seconds ....wat could be the solution ??

I have seen this one once before and we resolved it by formatting the memory card ( make sure you back up your media content first so you don't lose it )

Main Menu > Settings > Storage > Unmount SD Card > Format SD Card

After factory reset the phone...it is resolved to some extent...it doesnt happen that frequently..if there was 5 times in 2 min recording...now max 1 time in 2 min recording!
