Help Viewing a history of actions?

Hello

Is there a way to get a list of say the last 20 actions done on thIS device?

I find I will be on the internet, and then want to send or get a txt message and then go back to where I was and I am just finding verY difficult to navigate about between tasks

IF there was a history pulldown bar or something where I could just jump back to where I was (Not Necessarily just pressing the back button) it would really help.
