Viewsonic G-tablet or Asus Transformer tablet?

I am looking to buy an Android tablet for my wife and kids. I can buy the Viewsonic G-tablet for $285, or wait and try to buy the ASUS Transformer tablet for $400, if and when it becomes available.

I'm thinking I could save $125 on each tablet (I'll buy at least two) with the G-tablet, which I'd put Vegan ROMs on, as a first tablet for my kids and wife.

Or should I wait for the ASUS Transformer and spend a lot more money on?

Thoughts?

I have 2 VS/Gtabs running CM7.0.2 with 1.5GHZ OC kernel from clemsyn and they run great so I'm slanted... I like the idea of ASUS with extended battery in keyboard assembly but by the time you do that at $400+$150 for keyboard/battery vs. $285 for well community supported and Overclocked Gtab then even with my $50 Bluetooth keyboard I could about buy 2 for the price of the ASUS initially.... and I remember it was only ~6months ago I bought my 2 GTabs at $399 so by end of this year ASUS is likely to be cheaper and maybe have similar community support for adding features...
