Help Vignette refund / repurchase notification

i got a notification on my phone that somehow the old version of Vignette can't be updated anymore, and that the corrective course of action would be to purchase the new version while receiving a refund for the old.

while i love that particular camera application, something about that method of addressing the problem sets off some red flags. did anyone else receive the notification, and does anyone have any thoughts on whether or not it's legit?

Yeah. It's fine. I purchased the new app and received a refund for the old one within 20 minutes.

You get a refund for the new higher priced version. If you read their site, they tell you a detailed reason of why they had to do this workaround. I had no problem with the refund....got it in line 3 mins.
