Root Villainrom 12 themes

How do you exactly install themes on VillainRom 12? I already have the rom installed but I have no idea how to install a theme...And do I have to wipe my phone AGAIN to install it, cause if so, I don't think I wanna go through the process again...
 
You only have to do a dalvik-cache wipe (and a normal cache wipe if your recovery menu has the option). No factory reset needed.

Do a android backup first of course :) Then do the partial wipe and flash the theme.zip.
 
Sorry for so many questions but..
Does dalvik wipe wipe anything noticeable and wats an android backup, dont recall seeing it last time... and partial wipe and flash = ?

Im a bit slow when it comes to this stuff..
 
Wiping the dalvik cache won't have any noticeable effects other than your next boot being a bit slow as the cache is rebuilt. Same goes for wiping the normal cache. (An option in the more recent recovery images).

And before you put villain on you did a backup, right? That's known as a nandroid or nand backup, if done through the recovery menu its self. If you used ROM manager to do it, it would just refer to it as backing up the current firmware. Do the same thing before flashing the theme.

Nand backups are life savers :)
 
Alright, so I dont need to do titanium back up anything? Cause I already did nandroid backup last time, do I need tb? that's my final question lol
 
Nope.

- Do a nand backup (nand + ext if you use apps2SD)
- Cache and dalvik cache wipe
- flash the theme.
- reboot.

If anything goes wrong its the nand backup you'll be relying on, not titanium backup.
