Root ViPER problems

So downloaded ViPER last night and follow all the instructions on the webpage to install and still will not work. Please tell me whats wrong.
 
Are you rooted? Do you have busybox installed?

I installed on my rooted phone without any issues. I didn't have to change any settings on the device.
 
What music player are you using? I use Poweramp, and I had to go into Settings-Audio-Advanced Tweaks and disable "Direct Volume Control" before ViPER would affect the output.

I installed as system app on my phone, if that makes any difference.
 
I'm having a different problem with viper. Works, and the sound quality is great, but it will randomly quit, resulting in the sound volume and quality dropping drastically. Then after a few seconds it will load back up. It does this over and over. I finally just turned it off for the moment
