Viper Remote Smart Start

anyone who has this installed quick question. When i trigger my alarm the smart start app does not notify me. According to the iphone app the smart start system is supposed to notify you now. Anyone else having this issue?

trigger notifications on Android are not available yet. Currently that feature is only supported on the iPhone.
 
yeah i noticed that on their website last night. Hopefully a updated sooon will fix that. However, today I have been getting a lot of error messages stating the command was unsucessful. My phone and my truck are in a area with excellent cell service. I am hopiing this is just a glitch on their end because everything is new. I had to use the remote this morning to unlock my vehicle.
 
very cool idea, just not sure I'm game for the $500+ install and the $30/yr fee after that. For this kind of initial cost it should be more than 1yr included or cheaper

I haven't had any issues yet, but I only use the remote start/lock/unlock stuff. I don't have an alarm installed.
 
I called viper today. I advised them of my problem with the droid app. I have to select the cars tab them home for the app to work. Mine does not default to the one vehicle i have. They stated they are aware of the problem and hope to have a fix in 48 hrs. We shall see. Anyone else having this problem.
 
app was updated last night and it seemed to fix the issue i had with clicking on "car tab". Seems to work perfect now!!!
 
anyone else having a problem starting their vehicle with the droid app. 90% of the time when i hit the button to start the vehicle i get a lock command instead. I have confirmed this with another droid i borrowed. My wifes ipod works fine on my truck
 
it is not rooted 2.2 I tried this on 2 other stock droids (one being a HTC incredible) with stock 2.1 software. All 3 droids had the same problem
 
just got the smartstart system installed last week and i like it so far. only once did my command not work for whatever reason, but it does notify me if the command was received at the vehicle.

i was having trouble getting the remote start to work but it does work now
 
Just found out about this device today. Living in Houston Remote Start is a very attractive add-on to consider for my car.

I have one question. From the reviews on Amazon it appears a lot of people are having issues sending commands (I'm guessing they have crappy cell service like when I had my T-Mobile 3G stay in a constant upload mode) and also they couldn't tell if the vehicle is started or not from the App. Is this the case? Does the app tell you if the car has successfully started?
