Root Viper ROM Sense 4 Bootloop

Ive been trying to get the Viper Rom to work on this phone for a while now, but it reboots during the boot animation. It would be really nice to have this rom working on the Evo V 4G

Im rooted, S-Off, 4EXT, HBOOT 1.04

I think any newer version past the 7-18 build is based on the Sprint OTA update. This means the new 1.58 HBOOT and firmware is required for it to boot properly. You can still flash the 7-18 builds and older. Someone please correct me if I am wrong with the build number.

I don't see how..newer venom ROMs are based on new sprint firmware.and require new hboot 1.58 to flash. you would have a very lucky phone if you did somehow boot on old hboot. maybe you booted an earlier venom rom?

Beats me but it was the 8/17 release with jb_hboot_VM_ICS.zip from this post

Everything worked perfectly fine, I'm still running it actually on mean rom 2.6 no issues.
 
I got it to boot on that hboot you linked to. It used to lock up on the first few seconds of the boot animation. But now it boots fully and everything works!
 
this venom rom is running great for me on hboot 1.57.5757 and no reboots at all. its very snappy and smooth with great battery life. im also running it with anthrax.
do you know what venom tweaks you changed?

Nice quadrant, and I dont remember what tweaks I changed
