Sprint HTC users are getting the update today, S3 and S4 users will get it very soon. Will the VM Victory get it at some point? Maybe someone can shed some light on this.

If someone on Sprint can grab a hold of the OTA package, it'd be of great help to building a CM10.2 ROM.

Doubtful, the Victory never had great sales #s. Usually carriers only bother with updating flagships.

And for VM...fuhgeddaboutit.

Still crossing fingers for CM10.2 here on virgin. Sprint is booting, but the devs seem to be otherwise occupied.

I spoke to one in PM's, they are working on getting the bluetooth, GPS, camera, and... 4G working.

Even if this device was bumped to a newer android version, Samsung will still use the 3.0.xx kernel source. What they do instead of hacking into the kernel c based code is get the java/c++ monkeys to hack the framework2 and write apps that work around the insufficient code in the kernel. Either way, that would not help in the development of cm-10.2. AFAIK, that's the only version being worked on right now.

"Otherwise occupied" sounds so negligent. Like "Those kids were running through the restaurant like a pack of fighting roosters but the parents were otherwise occupied."

I had an implant in my spine for pain management. And, I had to loan my device to my sister-in-law cuz her E4GT is brokeded. I'm still performing kernel hackery and if you go to Official Unloved Device HitSquad and peruse the files there you might find something useful.
