Root [Virgin Mobile] Apps don't stay in memory

Does anyone know why I can only multitask between 2 maybe 3 apps on this phone? It has a gig of ram I shouldn't have this problem.
I tried freezing most of the bloatware and still no help, anyone have any suggestions?

What types of apps are you multitasking? You will always have less than a gig due to the system requiring some sources but you should be able to multitask just fine. It will certainly depend on the apps you're attempting to multitask and the resources they require.

nothing serious, just social networking apps, but if I switch between something like, go sms and Facebook, and then to an app called meetme
one gets closed
never had this happen on CM 10 with any phone
or even my old htc evo 3D
