Root [Virgin Mobile] Help for a guy creating Boot/Shutdown animations

Being on disability gives me free time to tinker with silly things. I am trying to teach myself how to make Boot/Shutdown qmg's. I have built a very rudimentary shutdown animation using the Samsung Theme Designer. The problem I am running into is I want the animation to repeat and whatever I try doesn't work. I think I could come up with some cool animations, but to keep the file size small, I would like to limit frames to 30-40. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Also, I have tried to change the boot animation and audio, but to no avail. What qmg and ogg files do I have to change. I am using Jerry's Victorious ROM.

Thanks in advance!!!:)

OK, I figured out what was amiss. I wanted to change the boot and shutdown animation to the spinning globe animation, but for some reason the download was the spinning blue orb. I created (as stated earlier) a rudimentary shutdown, boot and loop qmg. This is proprietary to the Victory and has not copyrighted material.

Just unzip and either rename the current bootsamsung, bootsamsungloop and shutdown qmg's to .bak (recommended) or just overwrite. If using Victorious make sure your boot animations are turned on. More info on this in this thread.

bootsamsung.qmg (place in /system/media)
bootsamsungloop.qmg (place in /system/media)
shutdown.qmg (place in /system/media/video/shutdown)

Keep in mind this is my first attempt and is very basic, I hope to keep honing my graphics skills and come up with some cool ideas. If anyone has something in mind and would like to make a suggestion, please do so. Helpful comments are welcome too.

Still looking for the PowerOn.ogg file. I have found what I thought was the correct one, but it hasn't changed when I try it.

I found where the PowerOn.ogg is located (at least with Victorious). It's in system/media/audio/ui/XAS. When I owned the Triumph, one of the Devs made a ROM with The Walking Dead theme song. I'm a big Walking Dead fan.

That's why I love Android phones, they are highly customize-able :)
