Root Virgin Mobile LG optimus V root?!?!

I simply want to remove bloat ware from my Optimus V. I am on Virgin Mobiles network. I have downloaded all LG Optimus drivers to my computer as well as super one click. I have triple checked and quadruple checked that I am doing the process correctly and still I get the same error message: UNHANDLED EXCEPTION HAS OCCURRED IN YOUR APPLICATION! Can someone PLEASE be kind enough to explain why I cannot root my phone? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. All I want to do is delete all of the BS applications from my OS to free up space so my phone will run smoother.

Are you getting the error on your PC when running superoneclick? Kinda sounds like your PC is choking on that. If so, I'd try re-downloading superoneclick, see if that helps. If you get the same error, it could be an issue with your computer itself (like memory addressing). Another possible culprit is the archive manager you use to unzip. Not all are created equally. If you use Winzip, the archive directory structures don't extract quite the same way as, say, 7zip. That might lead to problems with it as well.

Yes Gingerbreak does work, it may take a couple tries to get it thought (i think it took two times for me). However if you decide to use an app called rom manager, be very careful as to which rom you are installing. Dont do what i did and brick your phone.
