Root [Virgin Mobile] [MOD][MK5][4.3+]All Things Mods!

Ok here is the .ogg file you need to change to the KitKat screen touch sound. I named it "KitKat Screen Touch" for sake of ease, it will need to be renamed to match the name of the file you are looking to replace on your own system.

This is what I get when I try:
ZFLaEDl.jpg

It keeps saying it's a read only system file.

Most likely not. How does one do that?

Britton is 100% correct, your file explorer needs to have root access and r/w permissions. On ES File Explorer, the icon is that one at the top left that looks like a phone in front of a globe, press it and you will get a menu that slides in from the left, choose "Tools" and then "Root Explorer" then "Mount R/W" and then set both / and /system to RW from RO. You should be golden after that. Don't forget to reboot after pasting the file in order for it to be recognized by the system.

Success! It sounds so nice now.

For others on stock TW you are going to want to change: "S_HW_Touch.ogg" as well. That's for the back and menu buttons.

Here are the rest of the modules I use on Xposed, for those who are interested:

All Notifications Expanded: like it says, all notifications, not just the first one, will be expanded in your notification drawer (if they are expandable in the first place, not all are)

Android Phone Vibrator: allows for things like Vibrate on Call Answer if not an option natively on a ROM (I hate talking when I think I've answered a call only to have it not connected yet)

NFC LockScreenOff Enabler: for those who want to be able to use NFC from a locked, screen off state if it is not one of the native NFC options in a ROM

Smooth System Progress Bars: changes the look of the Progress Bar when downloading or when the system is "thinking," must be seen to be fully appreciated, it is a small tweak but I really, really like it

XVolume30: allows for 30 incremental steps when adjusting in-call volume, instead of just a few, better fine-tuning of in-call volume to avoid noise bleed which would allow others to eavesdrop, inadvertently or otherwise

XuiMod: I have mentioned this one in other posts around the forums; in addition to XBlast Tools one of my favorite modules; lots of nice visual tweaks, and constant updates to add more on a regular basis

wanam has nfc settings also.

under: system/nfc behavior

Very nice! Didn't know that for sure. I don't find that it really affects battery the way some claim, to have access to NFC no matter what state your phone is in is nice I think. I don't use it that much personally, but for when I do use it, I don't want to do extra steps like turning my phone on (hard, I know!). Mainly just NFC tags to change profiles, like when I get to work. Pretty nifty technology, looking forward to seeing how it gets integrated in the future.

Anybody wanting to theme Hangouts in "Blacked Out" fashion, check out this set of themes on the Play Store. There is a link for a flashable .zip which will black out (invert) your Hangouts app, but the theme is well worth downloading as well (this link takes you to one of the free versions offered by the dev, but the extended, paid versions are a great way to support an awesome dev and make your device look super sick at the same time!); I have used his Blackout theme before and really like it.

BetterKat CM11 Theme

Update: Installed the paid version of this theme just a couple of minutes after making this post, holy cow, it is beyond sick! Everything blacked out/inverted just the way I like, with nice blue accents. Having Hangouts alone get themed makes me happy; I honestly don't know why Google chooses some of the color combinations and light backgrounds that they do. Play Store is the worst offender, but this theme takes care of that as well. Loving it!

This looks awesome! I personally like the White/Grey that KitKat brings so I'm going to try out their White\Grey version. Maybe I'll download the Blue just to see how it looks.

Great find! I'll update OP with this.

I know this isn't a MOD but I have plenty of wallpapers here for you guys as my holiday gift to you! Almost all of these wallpapers should work perfectly on your S3. I know its a little late but its the thought that counts, right? ;) Happy Holidays everyone!

So I just discovered that Xposed Battery Themer doesn't work with CM11 :(. I do like the circle battery but I like the Xperia Blue battery even more. Has anyone figured out how to get it to work and whatnot?

I want this...
[MOD][Xposed] Maximize widgets on lockscreen - xda-developers

But I am scared to mod. Will someone hold me?
Has anyone done anything like this already? Better way to get it?

I can confirm that this does work on CM11. Don't know if it'll work on TW but it should. No reason to be scared, I'll hold you ;). You can just uncheck it in the Modules section reboot then it will be gone! Or just uninstall then reboot.

Let me know if it works for you so that I can add it to OP so that everyone will know that it works. Great find!

CM11 actually has it baked into the ROM, no need for a module. Go to Settings/Lockscreen, last option on the page is to maximize widgets. I always use this feature because I really, really like Dashclock on my lock screen, and it is more usable when already expanded. Can confirm that the module works on M.O.A.R. and Wicked Sensations (latest 4.3 versions). Can't remember off the top of my head if Wanam has it as a feature as well, it might just because Wanam is so extensive, just like XBlast Tools.

I have rarely had luck, on any ROM or any device, with theming the battery via Xposed. It seems like that aspect of the interface is locked down harder than the rest, usually being limited to whatever options are baked into the ROM. This includes even just trying to change the color scheme, let alone the look of the battery. Usually I just disable the battery in the status bar entirely, as I prefer Battery Widget Reborn on my home screen to keep track of battery life.

Didn't know that, Thanks!

I agree with the no battery. I had the circle battery then I found XBlast and fell in love with the BatteryBar Mod they have. That's just my opinion. :)

With the battery part the reason it doesn't change is because, I think, it conflicts with the battery chooser already installed in CM so it doesn't work.

I was able to get Xposed Battery Themer to work with 4.3 Stock ROM which I was previously on. But thank you though.

Does the XBlast Bar Mod allow you to change the battery icons? I'm seeing settings just to change the colors so far. I just downloaded it just now.

BatteryBar is just this here (the white line):

I took off the battery in CM battery chooser and just left this. It looks cleaner and better in my opinion. It also does a awesome animation when charging.

You did that within Xblast? I can't seem to find the setting for it? Can you tell me how you did it? Thanks lol.

My bad I did this with XuiMod. I get confused with them since XBlast has so many options I can't remember which one it does and doesn't have lol. Thanks for letting me know of my mistake.
