For about the past month or so, I have been getting random crashes/freezes/reboots. This happened at random times, sometimes while playing a game or in the middle of a phone call. I was running Victorious and VaeVictus. I finally said screw it, and flashed G60's stock backup. Thinking that ROM development had stalled and would try running stock. I didn't give it much of a try, flashing a kernel right away after purchase.

So, I flashed the stock ROM, and then flashed No-Props which brought me back to where I began. Then flashed Koush's Super User to root. What I did next was scrap Link2SD. I gained back a lot of storage space when I moved my Titanium Backups to my external SD card. I still run at only about %50 full on my internal storage like this.

Next, I did all system updates (PRL, Profile, Samsung and Firmware) that I have seen recommended in several posts. Now, this is where it got interesting. 4G is in it's early roll out stages in our area. After doing all the system updates, I noticed that I did not get 4G in areas where I was getting it yesterday. So, I updated the PRL and bingo, I had 4G again. Just as a test, I did the Profile Update and lost 4G again. 4G so far is pretty pathetic at this stage. I hope it gets better when they officially announce it's roll out.

I was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue with the Profile Update? If so, maybe it is not such a good idea to do it. BTW, my reboots etc have quit. I am kinda leaning towards Link2SD as the problem.

Link2Sd gave me fits so I quit using it. I would get freezes quite a bit. Since ditching Link2Sd I've had no problems.

I've never had any issues with 4g after profile update. 4g is rolled out in my area so I'm no sure if that's a factor or not.

I'm actually thinking about rolling back to stock, doing updates, deodexing and just running stock and customizing it myself

One more thing I forgot to mention. After returning to stock, I had 10 voicemails that I never received dating back 3 + weeks. Thankfully, none were of huge importance.

Yeah victorious didn't have the stock voicemail app. I just use vae kernal and external2internalsd from victorious.

I have been running the Conquest ROM for just over a week and that has been running great!!! No freezes or restarts so I believe that Link2SD was the culprit. Still running at just over 700Mb of free internal storage without it.

I have had no problems that I can tell are caused by Link2SD... I think the problem may be your SD card. It may not be fast enough, or reliable enough.

I to use Conquest (5.2) with Link2SD..
No issue's have ever been present rather it be stock or my current ROM.

As for the OP's main subject, there's been no 4G issue's if profile update is done.
Yet I'm in Indianapolis, IN & 4G is everywhere in this city..

Also as for Link2SD I'm running a class 10 32Gig at ext4 within my 2nd portion.
