I am running Victorious 0.2.2 and have updated the firmware with update2.zip. Since I installed the update, I cannot receive MMS (images only, the text comes through), this is not news to anyone, but I have also had two instances where the phone was acting like the CPU was at %100 and it was acting like a PC that was running out of resources.

These happened while doing two completely different things. One was while playing Candy Crush (I know, really?), and the other was when I had an incoming call which I missed due to the issue.

Keep in mind, I am not complaining, just reporting my experiences. I started a new thread because I didn't know what thread to add it to. I also posted in case others were have the same issue and wasn't sure if it was normal. This issue has NEVER happened before, so I am leaning towards it being related to the Firmware update.

If youre OCed to 1.8 (+50%) things like this will happen occasionally. Try backing it down a few steps on the governor, maybe 1.6?

If it still happens at lower clocks I would suspect a software issue, but I would try not pushing the phone so hard first.

For an easy test, try enabling powersave mode, leave it on for a few days. It cuts clocks by 33%. If it happens with psm on you can rule out OC instability.

I use SetCPU and always run the max at 1.512 and the min at 486. Hasn't happened again since yesterday.

If it happens again, I will give Powersave a try. Thanks!

Update. I had the same issue today while playing Candy Crush. I switched on Powersave mode, and that actually made things worse. I was using Conservative for governor and switched it to SmartassV2 and will see if that helps.

Sounds like it's unstable when under stress. You may have a cpu that can't handle being oc'ed or may only handle a notch or 2 over stock 1.2. If it keeps has happening after reflashing try backing your max down even more.

Seems like using SmartassV2 the phone is way more responsive. No issues since switching governors.
