Root [Virgin Mobile] [ROM] 8/1 Slim & Stock-ish Rooted ROM

NOTE:
To anyone who has folowed a link to a ZIP file that i have shared with Google Drive recently....
They have now changed their layout when linking to ZIP files and it shows the contents of the ZIP file.... SO....

Go to the file menu (within the webpage window) and then select "download" at teh bottom... Sorry for the confusion... These are ALL flashable ZIPs to be used in recovery, just to clarify....
 
I tried flashing your rom and my phone just keeps rebooting into recovery using CWM 6.0.3.1. Used your steps rebooted into recovery. Tried doing wipes then follow format steps and still run into the same thing, just reboots to recovery. Anything I am doing wrong?

try going to the mount menu and mount system and data then wipe dal/chace and reflash rom boot and go from there before doing anything else

if you dirty flash it may be possible but only if your already running punks version otherwise i suggest you use titanbackup to backup to extsdcard and flash clean and restore.

in short
stock. no
Rooted Stock. no full wipe needed
Rooted punkman version. You have to flash the updates for his rom version with wipe till he drops a new one with them included and do the root fix.
other roms no needs a full wipe.

So in my case since I'm not on his ROM and I'm just on rooted stock it won't work?
 
For the people that have their phone flashed to Virgin Mobile I edited the updater script by adding this to the top of this rom and flashing a sprint TW kernel for 4.1.2 it booted data works and sending mms works not receiving even when adding VM's mms setting and using go sms pro and setting it as default sms/mms app, also the preparing network is showing even though it's already set up. I'm just letting you all know.

Punkmaxx, does this rom have the latest MG2 update.. build as well as baseband? :)

Edit: nevermind I see that it doesn't. Flashing the update zips you made is required. Thanks.

I seem to be having trouble locating the update zips you mentioned. Could you please provide a link?

Also, I miss the alarm widget (Simple Alarm Clock 1.0) that came default, yet simply moving into system/apps from a stock backup doesn't seem to allow me to install it. Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: Found and flashed the zips with no problem. Question about the alarm apk still stands though if someone could point me in the right direction.
